Hi again :)

short update, right now i'm working on the snowbunny padme costume.
But as some of you know i'm also working in a charity group (www.facebook.com/Cosplay4Chari…) . Now i am concidering making a disney princess costume to use for charity, but i can't seem to decide.
I have been thinking about Elsa, sleeping beauty..  What are your opinions? Any suggestions?

Many thanks for possible answers ;)

Update: for the ones wondering, I decided to go for the damaged one. But it could be that i make a not damaged top in the future when i have more budget :)

Very short journal with one question.
I want to make the geonosis battle suit of padme for a star wars convention. (If my budget allows it ;) , otherwise this will take a bit longer)
The question of the day : The still non-damaged suit , as seen here : padawansguide.com/padme/white/… and here padawansguide.com/padme/white/…
or the damaged suit as seen here: padawansguide.com/padme/white/… and here padawansguide.com/padme/white/…

Many thanks for possible answers and arguments! :)

Hi everyone again^^

few weeks ago i finished my Harley costume and wore it to the Antwerpconvention.
I had a fun time with my best friend who was dressed up as golden age catwoman. The convention was extremely crowded this year! But we had a great time, met old and new friends (like Shanshan a very sweet girl with an awesome burlesque version of Zatanna!), also we had some nice compliments on our costumes, those compliments mean a lot to us. Always nice to hear people appreciate your work :)

The classic costume of Harley had been in my head for years, but i wanted to be sure i could make a nice version of it and if i could pull it off. I really liked to dress up as her, a photoshoot and a next con as her will definitly follow^^

But of course my fingers are already itching for a next costume, it won't be for this year anymore probably because the budget is thight :p but that doesn't mean you can't dream of a next one!
I have 2 ideas in my mind for now: a classic supergirl and Elsa of Frozen.
What's your opinion? Or any other suggestions? Feel free to share!

Hi everyone :)

this is my first journal entry, and what do you write in a journal entry, well i have no real idea yet ;)
Maybe i can start of by thanking everyone who is following me, faved or commented on one of my pictures. I really appreciate this. it's always nice to see that someone likes your work.
How about my work?
There are 2 things i really like to do, wich are drawing and costume making.
I have been drawing ever since i was a kid. I'm not the best, but i like to draw portrays (of movie and book-characters ), simply because i like to put a lot of details and shading in drawings. -> that's also the reason why i'm not good at drawings of 'full view-stuff", i get lost and it looks clumsy :p.  But i always try to improve next time. Wich can count for all of us i think :), never give up, if it doesn't work out the first time, just try again later. The more you try the more you can learn and get experience.
The other thing is cosplay. I've started with this 3 years ago. So i still have much to learn :) My first costume was Supergirl, Micheal Turner's version, wich i tried to improve over the years. I've worn this costume several times now, and i think it's time to move on to another version. Afterall, everyone gets a bit older too ;) Other costumes i made were Wonder Woman for a friend, Enchantress for my best friend, a jedi costume , and Valkyrie for me. This year i also made the lake dress of Padme , to wear it at the Star Wars Celebration in Essen. I really liked to make this dress because it was something completely different.
Right now many other projects are in my head ;) so i'll be doing this for a very long time.
The thing i like about cosplaying the most is propably the costume making itself, i can share this with my best friend. For wich i consider myself extremely lucky, she's the best girl ever!
I really like to look at all the different aspects of a costume and how it could be made. Then search for the best possibilities in my reach. I love how you can start from scratch and little by little see the costume 'come to life'.
Also the sharing with friends and other people, in the few years i am doing this i have met some wonderfull and talented people.
To everyone considering getting into cosplay, you really should ;) if you're interested in costume making and love some characters from movies or comics, just give it a try. I know some of you already asked some things about it, and i don't mind at all, feel free to ask :) ( Maybe that could be a good subject for a new journal entry ;) )

So i think this is enough for a first journal entry :p i hope i didn't bore anyone and sorry for possible mistakes in my English ^^

Lots of greetings
